I Am Someone - International Sex Worker Day

Everyday around the world, hundreds of thousands of people are employed in the sex industry. Many who are in need are often judged based on what they have chosen, or have been forced to do, as their line of work. These women are our coworkers, our friends, our family, and most of all, they are human beings. They should be able to stand and say, "I AM SOMEONE."  Today, June 2nd is International Sex Worker Day, which began in 1975 in Lyon, France. As an organization that works closely with sex workers on a daily basis, we want to stand in solidarity. These...

Our Integrity is Not for Sale

In February 2011, The Cupcake Girls incorporated as an official nonreligious nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide respect, resources and relationships to anyone working in the adult entertainment industry. A Clean Slate

“I hope that in this year to come, you make mistakes. Because if you are making mistakes, then you are making new things, trying new things, learning, living, pushing yourself, changing yourself, changing your world. You're doing things you've never done before, and more importantly, you're doing something.” –Neil Gaiman 2014 was an eventful year for The Cupcake Girls. We grew, we changed, we reached out a hand of support, and we made a few mistakes along the way. Mistakes are proof that you are trying…that you are changing…that you are becoming more than you once were. May we always attempt to become more. As we say hello to 2015, we want to challenge all of you to come and grow...
