A Significant Update on the Future of The Cupcake Girls
For over 15 years, The Cupcake Girls has stood as a sanctuary of Respect and Resources, providing nonjudgmental support to those in the sex industry and survivors of sex trafficking. Today, we are sharing the news that our organization has begun the formal process of dissolving as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
While our mission remains as vital as ever, the Board of Directors has determined that the most responsible path forward is to transition our resources and participants to trusted community partners who share our "Rights Not Rescue" philosophy.
Important Dates & Information
Program Closures: All active programs, including Advocacy and Mentorship, will officially conclude on April 30, 2026.
Final Operations: Our physical offices and all general operations will permanently close on May 8, 2026.
Participant Continuity: We are working directly with our participants to provide a "soft landing" wherever possible and transition to vetted community resources.
Privacy Commitment: Participant confidentiality remains our highest priority. All records are being handled with strict security in accordance with Nevada state law.
Our Lasting Legacy
Because of your support, we have provided hundreds of thousands of hours of trauma-informed care and established a national network of providers committed to harm reduction and unconditional support. While our doors are closing, the movement of respect you helped build will continue through the many lives touched and the partners who carry this work forward.
We want to express our deepest gratitude to our participants, volunteers, and donors for 15 years of courage and community.
With gratitude and respect,
The Cupcake Girls Board & Staff
