Meet the Board
Charlotte Stokely
Board ChairAt a young age, Charlotte Stokely (she/her) learned the key to happiness is compassion, empathy and respect. She is in the AVN Hall of Fame and has worked in the Adult Entertainment industry since 2004 in all walks of Sex Work such as Feature Films, Content Creation, Strip Clubs, Camming and more! She enthusiastically brings her knowledgeable experiences and ideas to The Cupcake Girls Org Board to help better serve and listen to the needs of clients.
She is also a certified Sex Educator, certified Health Coach and worked as a holistic healer for 6 years.
In her free time she likes to study heliophysics, ancient civilizations and watching DIY videos on YouTube.
If you get the chance to meet her she’ll likely tell you at least one Dad Joke or pun and show you pictures of her cat.
Dr. Dominique Burns
TreasurerDominique (she, her) has worked as a Counselor Educator and is currently an assistant professor at New England College. She has worked as the Title IX Coordinator at an HBCU. Additionally, she served as the Statewide Human Trafficking Coordinator for the Ohio Network of Children’s Advocacy Centers. She received her PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision in December 2018 from the University of Toledo, in Toledo, Ohio. Dr. Burns received her MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling (2015) from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in Las Vegas, Nevada. In addition to receiving her BA in Psychology (2012) from Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio. Dr. Burns is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Ohio, Clinical Professional Counselor Intern in the state of Nevada, and Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC).
Previously, she served as a victim advocate and professional counselor for a community agency in Clark county serving survivors of human trafficking, domestic violence, rape, and sexual assault. Her passion and professional experience working with survivors led her to serve on The Cupcake Girls National Board of Directors where she uses her skills in services of TCG and community at large. She enjoys being outdoors, yoga, dance, poetry, reading, and spending time with family and friends.
Laura Rosmann
SecretaryLaura (she/her) made her way to Las Vegas by way of Seattle in 2016. She has earned both her BS in Hospitality Administration and BA in Sociology from Boston University. She is now a marketing and operations professional with experience in scaling startups nationally, and a passion for advancing women and female-forward companies.
Laura first sought out The Cupcake Girls as a way of connecting with her new city and has since brought many needed skills to our organization. She is honored to support and serve The Cupcake Girls’ clients through strategic relationship building and creative and engaging fundraising opportunities. Laura encourages companies and partners to invest their corporate social responsibility efforts with our organization to create change for marginalized and stigmatized folks in the adult industry across the U.S.
When not working with The Cupcake Girls, Laura enjoys exploring the Southwest with her husband, daughter, and puppy, Neve.
Shannon Anderson
Board MemberShannon (she/her) moved to Las Vegas, NV with her wife and furkids from Phoenix, AZ in 2019. After falling in love with the downtown community by way of volunteering, they purchased their first home together just east of downtown.
After graduating from college, she began what has become a 20+ year career with Gannett. During this time, she has held various positions and is currently the Event Marketing Manager | Top Workplaces. Her passion for diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace led her to active roles within the company’s ERG programs, including PrideForward, where she served as a co-lead. This leadership led to a full term served on Gannett’s diversity board with focus on employee experiences.
There is little down time in Shannon’s life. However, when not working or volunteering, Shannon enjoys hiking and camping with her wife and dogs, baking delicious sweet treats, rock climbing with her friends, and STRIDE Saturdays.
Trina Brown
Board MemberTrina (she/her) currently lives in Idaho, by way of Nevada, Connecticut and California. She attended California State University Long Beach and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice in 2002. She spent many years working in social services in Nevada, assisting with delivery of self-reliance programs. While in Nevada she connected with The Cupcake Girls and spent 5 years volunteering and working for them in multiple capacities
prior to moving out of state. Trina moved to Idaho and pursued her Masters in Social Work from Boise State University which she completed in 2019. She currently works at a local hospital providing mental health and substance use assessment, and coordinates care for her clients in the community. She also provides EMDR, a trauma therapy in the community
to first responders.
Trina is passionate about The Cupcake Girls and their vision to provide resources, advocacy and support. She believes the clients served by TCG deserve the support of others and the community, as we all do. As humans it is our calling to be there for each other, and take steps to better understand each other through connection.
In her free time, Trina enjoys spending time with her husband, 5 kids, and foster children on their small acreage farm. She loves exploring the Pacific Northwest in their travel trailer, drinking coffee, having dance parties, spending time in the garden and taking care of livestock and other animals on the property.
Jessica Castillo
Board MemberJessica (she/her) grew up in Las Vegas and is originally from California. She obtains two Associates Degrees, one in Elementary School Education and General Arts and is currently working on completing her bachelor’s degree in Psychology at University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and continues to further her education. She is the Founder of Blooming Minds which teaches Emotional Intelligence to kids and families through yoga, mindfulness, and arts. Jessica teaches kid’s yoga, adult yoga, and trauma-informed yoga. She additionally has experience in education, behavior analysis, various leadership positions, and entrepreneurship.
Jessica has always had a passion to help others, help humanity, and help people in need. Through her various positions and education, she continues to grow a passion to help others find safety, acceptance, and healing.
When she is not teaching, attending classes, or working, Jessica continues to be a student of life. She enjoys reading, listening to podcasts & audio books, hiking, camping, practicing yoga, spending time with her furry baby Parker, or spending time with loved ones.
Dr. Monique Martinez-Quiros
Board MemberOn a more intimate note, Dr. Monique is originally from the “Old Pueblo” in AZ, Latinx, has two children, a husband, enjoys trying new local restaurants, and has eclectic spiritual interests.
Jayda Partlow
Board MemberJayda Partlow (she/her) moved to Las Vegas in January of 2019 after graduating with her Bachelor’s degree in Critical Race, Gender, and Sexuality Studies with an emphasis in Ethnic Studies from Cal Poly Humboldt formerly named Humboldt State University.
While in college she was a student activist working to end acts of sexualized violence. She owns and operates a successful notary business in the Las Vegas Valley. She has also spent her time volunteering and working for non-profits all around Clark County.
Jayda has a passion for being involved in movements and organizations aimed at helping those who are most marginalized in our community. She loves spending time with her husband, 3 cats, and 1 dog. She enjoys taking long walks and trying new restaurants.
Melissa Sims
Board MemberMelissa (she/her) has a professional background in non-profit fundraising & communications and spent a large portion of her career working for 501c(3) organizations. While she now works in the corporate world her passion and values have not changed. Her life’s purpose is to leave the world in a better place than it was when she entered it.
She has been supportive of The Cupcake Girls from afar in Seattle, and is honored to offer up her time, skills, support and energy to the board. Melissa is looking forward to fostering relationships with the community that uplift, love, respect, and deeply care for clients.
In her spare time you can find her in the gym working out, coaching fitness & nutrition, or creating artwork.
